| Foxes are beautiful and intelligent animals, whose movements are so dexterous and agile that they just fascinate with their gracefulness. That is why I really like to watch the life of these red forest predators. Most often I do this when I visit my grandparents in Belarus. Over there not far from their country house, there is a nursery and several foxes live. | Лисы — это красивые и умные животные, движения которых настолько ловки и проворны, что невольно завораживают своей грациозностью. Оттого я очень люблю наблюдать за жизнью рыжих лесных хищниц. Чаще всего я делаю это, приезжая в гости к бабушке с дедушкой в Белоруссию. Там недалеко от их загородного дома располагается питомник, где проживают сразу несколько лис. |
| When I approach the grate of the aviary, I’m interested to watch the way these fluffy beauties quickly move through their territory, every now and then squatting on their long thin legs and cautiously pressing their sharp ears to the heads. At first, just like the inhabitants of our nursery, they attentively listen to the rustles under their feet and then quickly dive into the snow and jump out of there with prey in their teeth already. | А что уж говорить о лисах, живущих на свободе! Всем известно, что они потрясающие охотницы. Я не раз видел по телевизору, как лисы выслеживают мышей зимой. Поначалу они, как и обитательницы питомника, внимательно прислушиваются к шорохам у себя под ногами, а затем одним резким рывком ныряют в снег, выпрыгивая оттуда уже с добычей в зубах. |
| In Russian folk tales, foxes are often presented as very cunning thieves who get into chicken coops and take away eggs and birds. I think there really is some truth to it. Thus, lots of times I watched how a wild fox comes from the forest to the spot next to the nursery, where there are feeders for squirrels and birds. It eats pieces of salo hanging on the strings and intended for tits and then hurries back to its shelter. | В русских народных сказках лисы часто предстают эдакими хитрыми воришками, которые забираются в курятники, унося оттуда яйца и птиц. | I have already managed to take many videos and photos with all those foxes from the nursery, including that cunning wild guest. In my free time, I go through these archives with interest, admiring the beauty of my favorite animals and rediscovering their amazing habits. | Мне удалось уже сделать много видеозаписей и фотографий с участием лис из питомника, в том числе и той хитрой дикой гостьи. В свободное время я с интересом изучаю эти архивы, любуясь красотой моих любимых животных и вновь открывая для себя их удивительные повадки. |
