My great-grandfather fought bravely during the Great Patriotic War and was awarded the Order of the Great Banner posthumously, my grandfather also faithfully served his country, and his father voluntarily went into the army, despite the mother’s request not to do so. | I understand that life of a soldier is difficult and dangerous, and mastering this profession requires stamina, a good level of physical training and willpower. Last summer I was in military patriotic camp on the Lake Ladoga, where I could learn it at first hand. There we were taught to survive in extreme conditions, to defend ourselves in hand-to-hand combat and shoot at targets from air guns. | Я понимаю, что жизнь военнослужащего сложна и опасна, а овладение этой профессией требует выносливости, хорошей физической подготовки и силы воли. Прошлым летом я был в военно-патриотическом лагере на Ладоге, где мне удалось на личном опыте познать это. Там нас учили выживать в экстремальных условиях, защищать себя в рукопашном бою и стрелять по мишеням из пневматического оружия. |
| After returning from the military camp, I further determined in my desire to become a military man. While studying there, I managed to meet many interesting people and make new friends. In a short time, these guys became virtually my brothers. I think, the same thing happens on a battlefield, when people become devoted fellow soldiers. I really want to learn, how it happens. And the service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can let me realize my dream. | Вернувшись из военного лагеря, я еще больше укрепился в своем желании стать военным. Во время обучения там мне удалось познакомиться со многими интересными людьми и завести новых друзей. За короткий срок эти ребята стали мне практически братьями. Думаю, что примерно то же самое происходит и на поле битвы, когда люди становятся преданными боевыми товарищами. Мне очень хочется узнать, как это?
